For Poker players this is the best time to be in the most liveable city in the world and more specifically, Crown Melbourne. Hosting a carnival of 23 events from 4th January until the 24th January what better way is there to spend your summer days.
Starting with a $1M guarantee opening event, consisting of 5 flights, at a buy-in of $1,150 and moving into mixed game variants (H.O.R.S.E., 8 Game, PLO) and all the Holdem you could ever want to play.
The Main Event is a $10,600 buy-in with satellites running daily from an affordable $70 that you may be able to turn into an estimated $1.6M first prize!
Crowns Tournament Director, Mr Joel Williams, has done an absolutely sensational job of increasing both the international awareness of the championship and creating a platform for all players, with all levels of bank roll, to join this event and match wits against some of the best players in the world.
We have been given the green light to bring the action to you, the inner sanctum of being a roving reporter right there on the ground – so if you see a guy wearing a hat looking a lot like me, come and say “Hi” – give me an interesting story and I will shoot you into Poker stardom, unless its just another bad beat – move along please!
Our first event to provide some reporting on will be Event 2 – $2,500 H.O.R.S.E which consists of 5 variants of Poker, Limit Holdem, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud 8 or better (Hi-Lo). I will provide a brief explanation of each game and bring the action to you to enjoy from either your table or at home.
